Misplaced Sukima P-12

It's morning. The village has been restored, and everything seems calm. The birds sing their songs, the cool morning spring breeze gently blowing, making the flowers dance in an even rhythm. Other than the birds songs, the rustling of leaves, and the scatter of animals running around, living their daily lives, it was a very quiet morning in Gensokyo. At the Scarlet Devil Mansion, the gate was tightly locked, Meiling missing from her post. The Misty Lake was eerily quiet, the Garden of the Sun, the Youkai Mountain, the village, all were very calm and quiet. It was the eye of the storm, and Hakurei Reimu was preparing herself to rid Gensokyo of this storm. It was now late noon and the sun was about to set, however the youkai around Reimu insisted it was supposed to be night already. Reimu heads out and meets Agava, confronting her head on, then suddenly a flash of light, the sound of a body being impaled, and Reimu wakes up breathing heavily, looking around and seeing all her friends still sleeping there. She gets up and heads outside the shrine as quietly as she could. Outside were Ran and Mima, both looking up at the sky. Reimu looks up as well and sees the sky had a strange violet tone of color, as well as the barrier of Gensokyo, still pulsating and resonating. "Gensokyo itself wants that shadow gone." said Ran, as Reimu headed toward them. Reimu yawns and calmly says "don't worry. Today is the last day that Agava hurts anyone again. Even an overpowered rule-breaking demon like her will be overwhelmed by our combined strength." Mima smiles and says "we best be ready. It's still going to be tough fighting someone that can kill with her magic, AND has the annoying ability of breaking the spell card law." Reimu softly growls, bearing her teeth, then Mima nervously says "calm down, we'll get her, we'll get her!" Reimu clams down and walks toward the lake behind the shrine. "Where are you going?" asks Ran, then Reimu turns around with a smile and says "I'm going to call for help" then continues her walk to the lake.

Sanae and Marisa come out of the shrine and spot Ran and Mima, who were drawing on the ground with sticks. When they get close, Ran looks at Marisa and says "we've got a plan" then smiles. Sanae asks "where is Reimu?" Mima smiles and says "she's summoning the gods to come and help us." Marisa looks at the drawing that looked like many circles and arrows pointing a little to the left of the center of the circles. Ran then says "time to wake everyone up." It was already late morning when they finally managed to wake up Yukari. She opens various gaps, each to a specific location: one for the Scarlet Devil Mansion, one for Entei, one for Keine's school, one to the Sanzu River, one for the cave leading underground, one to the Moriya Shrine, another for the kappa, another for the tengu, and one for the Garden of the Sun. Ran explains her plan for everyone, including the ones at the end of those gaps, to hear clearly. "Everyone put up their barriers?" asks Ran before beginning. From the gaps, all said yes, and the ones at the shrine all nod. "Good" says Ran. From the distance, Agava watches them but can't hear a thing. She sees Ran speaking, but can't read her lips. She growls and leaves. Inside the barrier Ran explains the plan. "Listen up, we need to corner Agava and make sure she can't escape anywhere. We need to start from the farthest corners of Gensokyo and trap her near the Misty Lake. There it will be easier so battle her and prevent her from escaping. Mystia, were you able to find Cirno?" Mystia shakes her head shrugging and says "Rumia and I searched everywhere, but we couldn't find her." Ran bites her finger saying "this could get a little rougher than I thought. Word is her powers work perfectly against Agava. We'll have to make due. Siki, Komachi, can we count on you!?" From the gap Siki answers "we both got the day off, so don't worry about us. We'll be there and make sure that shadow repents for all she's done!" "Good" says Ran, then says "Scarlet?" From the gap, Remilia says "you will find only the bet here in the Scarlet Devil Mansion! You can count on it!" Ran nods then asks "Yuka? You get all that?" From the gap, Yuka answers "me and my two little allies will make sure to do our part." "I'm only doing this because I got nothing better to do" added Medicine. From the Moriya's gap Suwako shouts "we'll show her what happens with you mess with the gods!" From Entei's gap, Reisen says "Entei will do it's best." "As always" added Eirin. From the underground Satori calmly says "she won't get away from us." From Keine's school, loud cheers could be heard from the villagers as Mokou shouts "we'll do our part!" The kappa and the tengu all cheer loudly as well, Nitori shouting "we'll try our latest invention on her. She won't really like it, but we really don't like her, so it's OK~!" Ran smiles as the large group in the shrine also cheers, then she says loudly "alright everyone, spread out and corner her. If she fights back, call for immediate backup! Let's corner her and finish her!"

The shrine was now empty as every single able body was scanning all around Gensokyo, looking for Agava. She was spotted by the Bamboo Forest, but ran away as soon as Mokou and Kaguya gave chase. Remilia and Flandre were both wearing long dark hoods to protect themselves from the sun's rays as they searched all around, spotting Agava close to the Garden of the Sun, however Yuka was already giving chase, with Wriggle and Medicine by her side. All Gensokyo was actively hunting down Agava. Even the land was apparently helping, as every shadow she tried to use to hide, be it a tree, a rock, anything at all, and they all seemingly moved to reveal her. Yuugi and Suika chased Agava for a long time until she vanished from the cave's entrance. Even inside the cave, the creatures there were searching for her. Back at the shrine, Reimu was deep in meditation, sitting close to the lake, however a large shadow breaks her concentration. Reimu flips out of the way, bearing her gohei and charms. "You got a LOT of guts to... wait... no..." Reimu drops her gohei and charms, then from the sky a large explosion was seen by Mystia, who immediately goes to investigate, however she sees Agava flying away from the area and gives chase. Back at the lake, Reimu was gone. Not even her gohei or charms were left. Agava was now cornered by Mystia, Sakuya and Patchouli. She tried to fight them off, but was quickly overwhelmed by the combination of the three. She fires a massive black ball to the ground and escapes once more. By now it was almost sunset and Agava reveals herself, flying above the village. "ARGH!!! What IS it with all these fools!? If it's a battle they want, then a battle I will GIVE!" Agava charges up her powers as much as she could. Purple colored lightning expels from her body and down hard to the houses below. She then spreads her arms and legs and suddenly the barrier around Gensokyo shines red. By now, Agava was surrounded all around. The youkai and humans were all over. The tengu above, bearing weapons, the kappa below, all with strange machines pointed at her.

SikiEiki casually floats toward Agava, but stops, saying "this is close enough. Listen, Agava. We are here to put a stop to you once and for all. If you repent now, and willingly give up I may consider lessening your punishment. Try to fight back and I'll personally make sure you pay for all you've done one thousand fold." Agava starts to laugh quietly, then suddenly cackles insanely then says "you pathetic mongrels think you can take me!? It took the combined powers of three yamas to stop me last time. What makes you think that you... any one of you has a chance against me!?" Agava laughs loudly as she begins shooting massive dark energies all around her, causing many to spread out. She tries to get away again, however Siki gets in her way and shoots various red swords at her, giving time to the others to regroup. Mokou and Kaguya join Siki, closing in on Agava. Shiki angrily glares at Agava and says "well look at this... three immortals surrounding one mean shadow. Does this bring back memories?" Agava shouts and turns her hands into massive hammers. Mokou and Kaguya fire back with their best shots, but Agava knocks the shots back at them, aiming a few at the weak youkai, making Mokou and Kaguya cover them with their own bodies. Siki tries to get close again, but Agava turns her arms into swords and swings wildly, barely missing Siki. Komachi gets in the way and blocks the swords with her scythe. Siki shouts "Komachi, get back!" and just as Komachi backs away, the two sword arms glow red, slashing the air and sending two large shock waves toward Meiling and Komachi, but Youmu quickly intercepts them and cuts them to small pieces. Agava was snarling, getting furious. "Give up now, while you still can" says Siki. Agava screams to the air and says "you are all WAY over your heads! There is not ONE amongst you that can even HARM me!" Siki answers "then why don't you try and kill us? Is it because you can't? Are you afraid?" Suddenly Agava sends a large barrage of mid-sized dark balls all around her, but the tengu all fly down fast, blowing the balls back and trying to strike at Agava with their own weapons, but Agava skillfully dodges them, then the kappa fire many peculiar weapons at her, lasers crystals, petals, seeds, but Agava discharges her own energy, blowing all down to the ground. The force also blows Remilia's hood off. She though she was done for, but she realized the sun was fake. "Flan, that sun is fake. Let's have some fun now!" Flandre pulls off her hood and says "let's PLAY!"

Agava was shooting at Remilia and Flandre fiercely, but the two vampires were merely toying with her. Flandre would taunt Agava, while Remilia shoots, then Remilia would get her attention, so Flandre could get a good shot. On and on the battle went, and it looked like Agava was finished. Just then, Agava notices when one of her stray shots was heading toward the maid, Remilia stopped everything to protect her. Agava grins and starts to shoot at Sakuya, laughing madly as she did. "My lady!!!" Sakuya panics and shoots countless daggers at Agava, who simply dodges them. Now Remilia was really hurt on the ground. "Onee-chan!" shouted Flandre as she heads to aid her sister. Okuu, Orin and Koishi start attacking Agava, Koishi using heart-shaped danmaku, while Orin shot countless blue danmaku balls, and Okuu shot massive blasts, but Agava simply turns into shadow form, the danmaku going through her and heading toward the village. Eirin, Reisen, Mokou and Kaguya were blasting the shots away, but there were too many, so Youmu stepped in, alongside Yuyuko, and started cutting the shots, while Yuyuko helped blast many way. Yukari joined in just in time, placing a barrier around them, blocking Okuu's shots. Agava starts to laugh, but stops abruptly as Reimu slowly flies towards the battle. All the present there started cheering for Reimu. She doesn't say a word, and just smiles as she faces Agava. "Cocky little bitch, aren't you?" snarled Agava. Reimu simply continues to smile and pulls out her charms. Agava backs away, but then lunges at Reimu, who dodges her and fires her charms, hitting Agava. Agava turns around and fires massive energy blasts in a straight like pattern, however Reimu easily dodges these, then hits Agava with another barrage of needles and charms. Reimu would only smile and not speak at all. Marisa worriedly gets closer and shouts "Reimu, are you alright!?" Agava takes the chance and turning her arm into 4 large spikes, she rapidly lunges toward Marisa, but Reimu gets in her way, getting impaled on her chest. Her smile vanishes, replaced by a blank stare in her eyes, and slowly her eyes close. All around gasp and scream in terror, Marisa's eyes open widely, tears immediately falling as she calls out of Reimu as loud as she could, but Reimu's eyes remained close with her smiling once more. Remilia couldn't believe her eyes. Yukari couldn't contain her own tears, everyone around was in shock and crying. Agava stares at the limp, smiling shrine maiden and says "let's get rid of this garbage now." She flings her blood-covered spiked arms, sending Reimu's body straight at the Misty Lake, where it falls and sinks, Remilia just missing the catch and shouting Reimu's name, Sakuya holding as tightly as she could to her mistress, who was trying to get inside the lake to get Reimu out.

Agava casually laughs and says "finally the only real threat to me is gone... what's this?" The barrier around the Hakurei shrine begins to crumble into pieces right before their eyes, the tear creating a powerful vacuum, as if trying to suck out all of Gensokyo. Agava opens her eyes so wide, as she laughs saying "yes, YES, the blasted barrier is DESTROYED! It was true after all~! I confused the shrine maidens before, that's why it didn't open before!" Agava giggles and casually says "I'm out of here... look out world, here comes DEATH!" and just as she was about to rush to the collapsing gate, Marisa, her face full of tears, her eyes red and puffy, gets on her way, pointing her Hakkero straight at her. Agava was about to shoot, but then she realized everyone around her was angrily staring at her. Spell cards all around her were being activated by many heart-broken youkai and humans. Marisa, her voice cracking, says "you may have destroyed our precious home... but now, at the end, we will destroy you." Just above them was SikiEiki, her eyes widely open, covering her mouth with her sword. Her blue eyes were glowing light-aqua, the atmosphere around her seemed to bend on it's own. She slowly raises her spell card and says "you... are going... to~ REPE~~~NT!!!" Remilia flies close and biting on her lower lip as hard as she could, making her lips bleed out of anger, she takes out a spell card and activates it. The kappa, the tengu, a few villagers, the Scarlets, Entei, the Moriyas, the underground dwellers, the Komeiji, the Youkai Forest, the Garden of the Sun, the small youkai, the fairies. Every single soul that was surrounding Agava, all either activate spell cards, or start to concentrate their energies into one single shot, all calling out "for Reimu". Just before all the spells went off, Yukari, Siki and Marisa float side by side and say "go to hell!" At the same time, every single spell card and concentrated bullet flew straight at Agava, who screams loudly in pain as the shots reach her body. The sudden collapse of so many shots and spells illuminated the sky, making it shine brighter than the sun. Agava screams a bloody death scream as the incessant barrage of bullets continues, and then, just like that, it stops. All around looked in awe and disbelief as the light vanishes.

Agava was still floating, struggling to keep herself afloat, however. Yukari, Marisa and Siki look in great awe and disbelief when Agava shouts loudly "YOU SEE! Not even your combined POWER is enough to beat me! I am the most powerful being EVER!" From the Misty Lake, a childish voice shouts "NO! I am the STRONGEST in ALL GENSOKYO!!!" From under the trees, flying at speeds that matched Aya's and leaving a blue icy trail behind as she headed for Agava, was Cirno, who shouts "PERFECT FREEZE~!" Cirno's spell card shines light blue and one single large ball of ice heads straight to Agava, who couldn't move in time, getting frozen up to her neck instantly, and falling to the ground hard. She fell so hard on the road from the shrine to the village, that the ice shattered, then Cirno who followed her all the way down, fires more ice at her, freezing her to her neck a second time. Cirno places her foot on the ice saying "I am the strongest! Don't you forget it!" pointing her fingers at Agava's face. Agava was agonizing in pain, then mumbles "I... was so close." From behind a tree, a very familiar voice brings a smile and amazement to all around, saying "Hi, welcome to Gensokyo, a true paradise. I am Reimu Hakurei, your local shrine maiden here to welcome you to this beautiful land." Reimu comes from under the trees smiling widely as she headed toward Agava. Behind her were the three mischievous fairies, Star Sapphire, Luna Child and Sunny Milk, and behind the three fairies were Ail with a bandaged left arm, and Kyo. Everyone was in complete shock, particularly Remilia who cries out for Reimu softly. Agava's spell wore off and the night came. The moon was almost full, brightly shining down, giving perfect lighting for all human and youkai to see. Reimu approaches the frozen Agava, just as Cirno backs away. "Ail, if you please!" said Reimu, and Ail fires a focused blast at Agava, breaking the top of the ice, revealing Agava's chest. Reimu then says "on behalf of all Gensokyo, I welcome you and hope you'll enjoy living here for the rest of your miserable life. As a gift, I have this just for you." Reimu places a multi-colored charm on Agava's chest. The charm is absorbed and as it is being absorbed Reimu says "with this, you have no choice but to follow the laws here. You'll never again be able to use anymore spells without a spell card. As an added bonus, your powers will diminish by 98 percent. Lucky you! Now you're going to be a child again!" Just like that, Agava's body shrinks as she starts to cry out "no... my powers! What have you done to me!?" Reimu then continues saying "and from now on, even if by some disgrace the barrier is destroyed, you'll NEVER be able to leave this area. Isn't that wonderful?" Reimu smiles at Agava who's body got small enough to get out of the ice. "This isn't fair!" shouted Agava in a most childish tone. Reimu leans down and says "well, if you'd had given up, I'd have only cut 90 percent of your powers, bu~t, you decided to go the hard way down." By now, Marisa and Yukari lunge at Reimu giving her a big hug, crying and thanking the gods and spirits. Remilia follows afterward, as well as the rest of Reimu's friends. All the others head back home, cheering and celebrating victory.

There was a big celebration on the village, the Youkai Mountain and the Hakurei Shrine. Agava was defeated and stripped of her powers, thanks to the combined efforts of all present. After all had expressed their relief for Ail, Kyo and Reimu; Sanae, who was sitting to Ail's right, while Yuyuko had him sit on her lap, asks "how is it that you guys are alive!? Nobody, not even Reimu could sense your presence. And that Agava was using your powers just like that!" Ail thinks for a bit and says "well, it's a long one. Well, after Reimu told me to leave, I went looking for Kyo, but instead I found those three fairies. I asked them to help me, and in exchanged I promised never to punish them for doing their pranks as long as they're not pranks to me, or Sanae. So they followed me to get Kyo when we were ambushed by that Agava. As luck would have it, Kyo was able to use his energy to grab on the the walls just before we touched the spikes, and little Luna made it sound like we were impaled. Shortly after, I was able to open a gap and placed fake dolls with our clothes on the spikes, all before Agava came to check. Also, she was using our powers because of the little red spirit. It had copied most of my own abilities, and used my memories to learn about Kyo's own. In the end, that's why she lost them right after Reimu exorcised the spirit." Reimu stop him and says "Hey, wait a minute... How was it that the piece of your shirt was covered in blood?" Ail, feeling a bit embarrassed said "actually, err... when I placed the dolls, I cut my left arm with one of the spikes." Reimu, Marisa and Kanako all look at Ail, looking surprised. Sanae grabs his arm and checks it, then Yuyuko pats him on the head saying "mistakes happen, right?" Marisa and Kanako continue drinking, then Reimu says "hey, wait... I haven't seen Lily White lately either... was she part of your plan?" Ail shrugs and says "she kept following me everywhere I was, even when Sunny and Luna were using their powers she spotted me. She almost gave us away on various occasions." Mystia from outside asks "and why were you hiding Cirno?" Cirno had fallen asleep alongside the three fairies, apparently after eating so much. Ail thinks again for a bit and says "well, I wanted to give her a good boost of power before sending her to freeze Agava." Reimu then says "that's right. The Reimu doll was Ail's idea as well. What you though was blood, was actually red ink, enhanced by Sunny's powers." Ail then says with a smile "I was boosting hers and Luna's powers so it seemed that Reimu had been killed and the barrier was breaking apart... actually, the main idea was to distract Agava with the Reimu doll long enough for Cirno to get ready." Aya comes by and asks "what about that speed? She was flying as fast as me!" Ail says "Kyo used a tree branch as a slingshot and sent her through the gap I made. I wanted to make it look as though she came from the Misty Lake so she would be distracted while Reimu, that is the REAL Reimu could attack her from the back. But now that I think about it... that fake death really did help more than my initial plan would. If you guys had not weakened her so much, it would have taken a lot more power just to freeze her. " Ail realizes that from inside and outside, everyone was listening to his story. He felt a little awkward, being the center of attention, but he just smiles as Reisen says "sneaky little human, huh? Hey Tewi, be careful, he might even prank YOU." Tewi raises her fist saying "just let him try!" Ail just scratches his head and sweats.

Later that night, the celebration had winded down, and most had headed back home. Only Sanae, Suwako, Kanako, Marisa, Alice, Cirno and the still sleeping fairy trio stayed there. Kyo, Mima, Suika and Yuugi headed to town to drink some more over there. The shrine was quiet and Ail decided to go to the back of the shrine and look at the moon through the clean skies, and feel the cool breeze. Both Sanae and Reimu go out to him, Reimu asking "what are you thinking now?" Ail keeps staring at the moon and bluntly asks "now that everything is back to normal... can I stay here?" Reimu looks at Ail a bit surprised and asks "why do you ask this so suddenly?" Ail looks at Reimu and says "I went back home... to get some extra clothes for those decoys. Even if it was for just one minute, I felt so far away from home... and the fact that my powers diminished a bit the second I stepped one foot out there didn't help. I love Gensokyo too much. Reimu, can I stay?" Reimu thinks for a bit, Sanae looking at her with expectation, when suddenly Reimu says "ever since you guys came here, there's been nothing but trouble after trouble with you. Incident after incident with a few breaks in between, but just not enough." Sanae looks down, looking a bit sad, then Reimu looks at Ail and smiles saying "however, you helped me quite a lot during then, and even now with that Agava, but still, you're asking the wrong person permission to stay here." Ail smile and says "You hear that Gensokyo!? I get to stay!" Sanae quietly smiles and celebrates inside of her mind. Ail was staying in Gensokyo, and for some reason that gave her quite a lot of joy. Ail calmly says "I may not look it, but inside my heart, I am jumping for joy and screaming my head off." Reimu calmly says "then it's all good, isn't it? What about Kyo?" Just then, Kyo and Mima come from the village, a little bit drunk, then Kyo says "I need to go back outside and sort some things out. I can't say I'm never coming back though... like Ail says, you never know what can happen, right?" Reimu yawns and says "well, I'm just glad we didn't have to force you out... I'm also very glad you guys are alive... I'm tired. Let's go to sleep now." All says "yeah" and head inside.

At the crack of dawn, Ail was at the front of the shrine, looking on as the sun rises. Mima floats by, then Ail says "you can't sleep either?" Mima smiles and says "I just wanted to tell you something... it's not like I'm overly excited like some foolish human here." Ail laughs and says "I know it was you who helped me unleash those spell cards and powers before. I mean think about it, I started hearing that voice inside of me after I released you from that room, then when you're unconscious, I can't hear it." Mima smirks and says "you know, your intuition could rival Reimu's." Ail then says "she's still far beyond my level... you know, when I heard you talking to me in my mind, I thought I was talking to an angel. Never though that 'angel' was actually an evil spirit." Mima punches Ail on the head giggling and saying "watch what you say around here. Some might take it as an offense." She then wraps her arm around his neck and asks "was it you who opened that door the second time?" Ail keeps quiet for a bit and says "maybe. Why do you ask?" Mima give him a kiss on his cheek and says "thank you... I was really worried about Reimu and my Marisa. Thanks for getting me out of there again." Ail smiles and says "anytime."

Kyo wakes up just after sunrise. The fairies and the Moriyas had already left. Marisa and Alice were eating breakfast by the table, and Reimu and Ail were at the porch quietly drinking tea. Mima was outside, twirling her staff around and pointing it at random areas shouting "HA~!" every time she did. Kyo sits besides Reimu, then Reimu pulls out a plate with a rice ball saying "here, eat. I was able to save this from those two inside." Kyo looks back and Marisa started to look at the ceiling, while Alice blushes and stares at her tea. Kyo smiles and says "thanks. Don't mind if I do." and then laughs hard. As he ate, he said "you know, I'll admit at first I felt really lost in here, but now this place feels just like home too." Reimu and Ail both stare at him curiously as Kyo continues "I'll just admit here and now that I have fallen in love with Gensokyo, but... I need to return home, to the outside world. There are still many things left for me out there. Maybe someday I will come back, so let's not say 'goodbye'. Let's just say 'until next time', alright?" Reimu smiles and Ail says "wouldn't have it any other way, my friend." The time came and Kyo was ready to go home. Ail was smiling, but could feel the sadness in his heart. Suika had come to say farewell as well. Ail opens up a gap and when Kyo looks into it, he sees his old home, his father's car still parked there, at the front of the house, looking quite clean. The window to his room, and one of his mother's ornaments on the outside walls. Kyo smiles widely then turns around and says "well guys... Suika, Mima, Reimu, Marisa, Alice... and Ail; take care of yourselves alright?" Suika quietly walks to Kyo and lightly hugs him saying "I'll drink twice tonight for the both of us!" Kyo hugs back, then lets go as Mima, who was crying twin waterfall just lunges to him and hugs him shouting "I'll miss you so much, you hunk!" Kyo was surprised at first then hugs her back and says "I'll miss you all as well." Reimu shakes his hand and says "until next time, take good care of yourself too." Alice gets closer and says "you sure are unique humans... err... take care." Marisa gets close to Kyo looking very serious, then Kyo looks back at her seriously, then suddenly they were banging their hands in rhythm, and bang their elbow together, then Marisa says "bring me a souvenir when you come back, dude!" As Marisa steps away, Reimu and Alice look at her puzzled, then she says "what? It's just a hand-shake, daze~." then comes Ail. They look at each other for a bit and Ail says "well my friend, ever since I met you we've been inseparable, but... the time has come we parted ways." Kyo says "and I won't feel guilty either. You are surrounded by awesome friends here, and I know you will look out for each other. Now don't you worry about me, bud. You know I can take care of myself anywhere I go." Ail smiles and then both hug. Reimu and the others sniffle while Mima continues to bawl, now accompanied by Suika as well. Suddenly, Ail and Kyo both open their eyes and back off Ail asking "did we just man-hug? Kyo scratches his head, then Ail looks down feeling a bit awkward while Reimu, Marisa and Alice laugh their heads off. Kyo heads to the gap and just before he enters Ail says "wait, I need to ask you a favor" and hands Kyo a letter. Kyo smiles and says "I'll get them this letter as soon as I can." and then he enters the gap, Ail letting out a tear as Kyo leaves. Reimu pats him on the head, then Mima hugs him, still bawling and saying "cry with me, come o~~N! WAAA~~H!"

At the outside world, Kyo hesitate for a moment, then slowly walks toward his house. He knocks on the door and when it open his mother excitedly shouts "K-KYO!?" Kyo softly says "hehe, I'm back." His mother excitedly shouts "everyone, Kaizo is back!" then Kyo complains saying "mo~m, don't CALL me that... it's KYO!" but as if not listening she continues "Kaizo, Kaizo is back!" Back at Gensokyo, at the Hakurei Shrine, Ail says "well, it's time I get to work. Reimu, is it ok if I stay at the shrine a few more days while I finish my house?" Reimu smiles and nods, then Ail says "I decided I want to live at the Forest of Magic. I even found a good spot too." Reimu asks "the Forest? Why not the village?" Ail smiles and says "if I do that, I wont have to fly much to reach the shrine." Reimu places her hand on her forehead and says "well, just be careful there, alright?" Ail smiles and says "hey, it's me! What could possibly go wrong?" Reimu counts with her fingers as she says "forest fire, thunder storm, getting lost, getting robbed by Marisa...." Ail's face turned pale then he shouts "alright, I get it. I'll be careful, heheh!" "By the way" added Reimu, asking "what was that you just gave to Kyo. Ail looks at Reimu and says "a letter for my family, telling them that I am well and surrounded by the most wonderful of friends." Reimu, Marisa, Alice and Suika smile, however when Mima tried to smile, she begins to cry again saying "that's just so beautiful!" Ail looks at her and asks Reimu "is she really an evil spirit?" Ail had found a small clearing close to Rinnosuke's shop at the Forest of Magic, and there, using his barriers as support, he begins to build his house. It took him five days and received help from so many friends. Youmu, Meiling, Mima, and sometimes Marisa or Reimu would come and direct the construction, along with many others who claimed were just "passing by". When the house was done, Ail enters and behind him, Youmu and Meiling enter, Youmu saying "don't you think it's a little big?" Ail smiles and says "I think it's perfect." Meiling smiles and says, then I guess we'll have to do an house warming party now. From out of nowhere, Orin pops her head shouting "PATRY~~~!!!" and so that night, the Forest of Magic was the sight of a tremendous party... of course, Ail had to clean up afterward in the morning, then as he sweeps around he says "now I see why Reimu hates the parties at her shrine." Looking at his roof, he contemplates the missing chunk, blasted off by one of Suwako's and Suika's danmaku.

Three months pass everything is back to being peaceful, but Reimu is pacing back and forth at the shrine. "Ugh, what's taking him so long?!" From the porch of the shrine, Marisa says "calm down, this is Ail, not Yukari!" Reimu breathes deeply, then exhales and calmly says "you're right... we'll just have to wait. Suddenly a blue gap opens by the shrine gate. Reimu and Marisa run there to see Ail who pops out of the gap shouting "HI!" Reimu expectantly asks "so!? Did you find them!?" Ail expands the gap and two girls come out, looking around and smiling. Ail smiles at Reimu and says "found them just where you told them to wait." Reimu bows a little and says "welcome to Gensokyo miss Maribel Han and miss Renko Usami." and so another chapter opens for Gensokyo, however... this is another story for another time...

Inside the gap between Gensokyo's Barrier, Yukari floats around, complaining about working. "Aww~ this is why I made Ran my shikigami. I don't like doing this... it's so boring." Yukari looks around and says "bah, the barrier's fine." She then smiles widely and says "well, I'll just go back and sleep some... eh? What's this?" Yukari slowly floats closer to a very small red and black gap and laughs a bit and says as she closes it "no wonder Gensokyo got so chaotic... seems I somehow placed a gap between Gensokyo's reality and it's chaos. Yukari looks at you, smiles and says "now you be a good little soul and not say anything to anyone, alright?" You nod, trembling as she continues to stare into your face. "Good, good. You wouldn't want to be in an 'accident' right?" You lightly shake your head left and right then Yukari blows you a kiss saying "that's a good little soul." and then she opens a gap back to her home, then closes it behind her, leaving you stuck in the dimension between Gensokyo's barrier. Lucky for you Ail opens up one of his gaps and gets you out, asking you what happened to you, just as you black out.
